990 Finder: This search tool from the Foundation Center provides IRS 990 forms, filed annually by nonprofit organizations. Information required on the 990 includes address, officers, program services, gifts received, assets, revenue and expenses, grants paid, and future grants.

Foundation Stats: This data tool provides information on the size, scope, and giving priorities of the foundation community. For SD specific data, click here.

Nonprofit Sector Data: The National Center for Charitable Statistics offers state-specific data related to nonprofit activity. Click here, see “Geographic Focus”.

The South Dakota Secretary of State’s website provides up-to-date results of recent elections and Voter Turnout information.

Volunteering and Civic Life in America: This site provides a comprehensive look at volunteering and civic life in the 50 states and 51 cities across the country.
