Millenials have passed the Baby Boomer generation as the largest demographic in South Dakota, Northern Plains News reports.
According to Governing Magazine, Millenials (ages 11-30) make up 27.3 percent of South Dakota's population. Baby Boomers (ages 47-65), make up the second highest group with 25 percent. Coming in third are the Generation X'ers (ages 31-46) at 18.6 percent of the population and finally the Silent Generation (ages 66-84) at only 11.2 percent.
